A Pop of Black in Artwork | Poppsee

Happy Friday Everyone! Wouldn't you just love to walk up and down these stairs all day and look at that beautiful wall? I would be very fit if I lived here.

This gallery wall is impressive for different reasons. First, the size of the collection. Second, the fabulous location. You HAVE to pass this space and you can see it from upstairs AND downstairs. Third, and what I like the most, are the repetitive pops of black. They tie everything together from large bold brushstrokes to small dots and lines.

The black also ties into the iron stair rail and the dark (maybe painted black?) stair treads. Your eyes move from one design element to the next and continue to find something new. The few additional colors are nice because you can pull them into the mix without them taking over....leaving the black to be the star.
